Grammar Badminton Club

Sunday Evenings Only - 7:30pm to 10pm                             (We do NOT hire out badminton courts to the public)

Please Note: We have a temporary shift for our Club venue, for our final 7 weeks of 2026 - from Sunday 1 November 2026 to Sunday 13 December 2026, to our alternative Northcote College Gym venue, located at 1 Kauri Glen Road, Northcote.

Grammar Badminton Club is both a competitive but also welcoming community social club. Suitable for adult players 18+ years of age.

Exceptions may be made for college age students, but ideally they should be 18+ years old & comfortable playing against adults. Please contact us direct first before dropping by our Club, or to discuss the attendance of any players younger than 18 years of age.

We meet & play, between mid February & mid December, usually at the Takapuna Grammar School (TGS) gymnasium. However during TGS mock & final exams, we shift to the temporary venue & gym located at Northcote College. Please note, we are closed for 2 summer months, from mid December to mid February.

Although TGS is located at 210 Lake Road, Belmont, to access the gym, we recommend that you use the gate entrance, off Winscombe Street, by the TGS back fields. Drive down the long driveway, to the end, & park in the carpark, on the right. You will see a small path on the right, leading along the back of the fields, & up a small rise, on the left. At the top of the rise is the gym, on your right.

Online payments preferred, rather than cash - (please ask the duty person to supply you with our Club account details & provide your name in the payment reference section)

Club loan racquets are available, on request. Please contact Mieke Scott in advance, if you are interested in visiting, bringing others, or joining the Club. We are an extremely welcoming Club of all levels. We advise you come & try us out, to see if we are the right fit for you.
