Y9-13 HANDBALL 2024

We are waiting for confirmation from College sport Wellington as to whether Handball will continue to be offered as a college sport in 2024. We encourage students who are keen to play handball to fill out an expression of interest to play in 2024, so we are ready to go if there is a competition available.

Years 9 - 13


TERMS
Term 1 


TEAM SIZE

The ideal number is 10-11 players. There are 7 on the court at one time. 1 goalie and 6 players on the court.


GAME LENGTH

2 x 20-minute halves, with a 2-minute break in between.


COST       
$90.00 per term for weekly competition.

If the team is entered into the National Competition, there will be an extra cost to this. 


COMPETITION

Mixed - TERM 1

Mixed Open (Both Seniors and Juniors, Girls and Boys).

Year 9 - 13Tuesdays - start date TBC4.00-7.00pm*Te Rauparaha Arena or Bishop Viard College TBC

*Games can start at any time between 4:00pm and  7pm
 

PRACTICES 

TBC, dependent on whether a competition is available to go ahead or not. 


UNIFORM

Handball tops supplied by the school. 

Players MUST wear PE shorts.
