At the conclusion of play on the final day of the Oceania Cup and Championships New Zealand came away withseveral Golds starting with Phillip Xiao defeating David Powell (AUS) 3-0 in the final of the U21 Men's Singles and Natalie Paterson defeating Lea Lia Van (NCL) in the final of the U21 Women's Singles and ending with Chunli Li claiming Gold in the Oceania Cup Women's Singles in a tight final against Jian Fang Lay 4-3 (10,-9,-4,6,-11,8,5)


Earlier in the day Phillip teamed with Thom Nguyen to win the U21 Mens doubles, overcoming Kane Townsend and David Powell (AUS) 3-2. Phillip went on to win his 3rd Gold Medal when he joined Natalie Paterson and they took out the U21 Mixed Doubles against another Australian pair Eliza Forster and Kane Townsend.


Natalie also made it 3 golds when she teamed with Eliza Forster from Australian in the U21 Women's doubles.


The combinations of Kevin Wu/Thom Nguyen and Sarah Her-Lee/Jessica MacAskill and John Cordue/Sarah Her-Lee made it to the semi-finals in their respective doubles events.

Teams events have now been completed with Australia taking the Gold and NZ Silver in 3 of the 4 divisions.


Draws have been released for Oceania Cup and individual events.

Our team together with coaches Richard Lee and Chunli Li depart Auckland on Saturday 2nd June bound for Fiji and the Oceania Cup and Championships being held in Suva from the 3rd to 8th June.
