2024 BLACK SOX TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

Softball NZ’s President, Lynda O’Cain in conjunction with the New Zealand Black Sox proudly announce the selection of 16 athletes who will represent New Zealand at the Group Stage Qualifier in Prince Albert, Canada, from July 10 to July 14.

The selected athletes have earned a well-deserved place to represent New Zealand on the international stage. It was a tough selection process, reducing from the wider Black Sox squad to 22, and then to this final 16. The depth of talented athletes made for robust selection discussions. While we congratulate the athletes who have earned selection, we recognise the disappointment of those who missed selection this time and encourage you to channel this focus into future opportunities. The Group Stage Qualifier in Prince Albert is a crucial step towards our goal next year.

Congratulations to the selected athletes. Together, we will continue to strive for excellence and proudly represent New Zealand.
