Hi Team,

We're looking forward to the racing this weekend coming, the Signright New Zealand Midget Championship and Peter Kuriger Engineering New Zealand Minisprint Grand Prix with supporting classes on Friday night of the Tool Hire Taranaki, Taranaki Adult Ministock Champs on Saturday night the John and Gary Adamson Superstock Memorials.

Below is some information that will help us to all be on the same page and assist with a smooth running event.

Registering to race  -  This needs to be done so that you are in the lap scoring system and it is easier to do it now rather than at the track.  Please register by using the red button below.  Midget and Minisprint drivers, please note that we already have your bank account numbers from your entry forms so you do not need to include these when you register.

Papa Clay  -  This is continuing to be an issue.  Please, if you are parking in the paddock, can you park your car on a tarp to collect excess papa.

Below are some reminders.  We will keep sharing these reminders as there will be new drivers coming along each week.

Please read them.

Gear checking will take place in the clubrooms for two classes each week.  There will be a sign at the pitbox (when you pick up your scrutineering card) advising which classes will be having their gear checked.

  • Access through pit lane.  For safety reasons, we are no longer permitting pedestrians access through pit lane. We have a new gate next to the clubrooms that will be open at the same time as pit lane for any staff, crew, or anyone else that isn't in a permissible vehicle.  Please note that this entrance will only accept pre-purchased online tickets.  The spectator gate at the other end of the clubrooms will also open early and accepts cash.

  • Ambulance Fee.  Drivers, don't forget your $10 for the ambulance and remember that two people per race car get in free but they must be in the tow vehicle.  Also a reminder that no additional vehicles are permitted in the pits.

  • Closed Pits.  The pits will be closed to the public half an hour before racing begins. Each driver is eligible for 8 wrist bands which will be issued you you travel through pit lane.

  • Driver sign in closing time.  Please be aware that driver sign in will finish at 4:30pm for the evening session and then the grid draws will be done.  If you haven't signed in by this time or phoned the track (06) 765 5693 to say that you will be late, then you will not have a grid draw and will start from the rear of the field.  Please note that ‘driver sign in’ means the final part where you sign in with SNZ and they have collected your scrutineering card.

  • Starting from the rear of the field.  If you are wanting to start from the rear of the field, please let the pit box staff know when you check in.  Note that you can also now select this option when registering.  If you accidently select to start from the rear or change you mind, please let the pit box staff know ASAP and especially before the grid draws are done.

  • Grid draws.  We will be using an automated system as often as we can for grid draws this season.

  • Papa Clay.  It is a condition of our lease that we remove any papa from the pits each week.  We would really appreciate your assistance with this.  Please place your papa in the bins provided. Perhaps consider using a tarpaulin on the ground to make this easier for you.  If you each clean your own pit space, then the Sunday clean up is considerably less.  Thankyou in advance for your assistance with this.

  • Behavior at Stratford Speedway.  Please remember that when you are at the track, with your car, wearing your team shirts or our staff shirts, you are representing yourself, speedway and our club.  We ask that you please consider and respect those around you and showcase our sport and our wider  team in a professional manner.

  • Health & Safety.  We would appreciate, if you can please read through our Health and Safety brochure by clicking the button below if you haven't already done so.
