We are nearly there, only two days until the 2023 CATE Conference. In this newsletter we have information about the Scavenger Hunt Trivia App and how this will work as well as the links to all of the Pre-conference Warm Up Lunchtime Bytes and Webinars.

Thank you to all those that supported this initiative and to those that have watched the recordings. I hope these have been of value and that if you are unable to make the conference, you feel there has been something for you. The AGM will be held on Thursday 23rd at 2.05pm, please see attached below the 2023 CATE NZ Annual report.

Also included in this week’s update is more driving resources, information on the Mocksey Interview App and an offer of a demo and Axiom training opportunities.

Conference Updates
This year we have a Scavenger Hunt App (Social Point) which will replace the passport.

We have over 30 trivia and photo challenges from our sponsors, trivia questions at a number of keynotes and a “Countdown Quiz” at the AGM. As you go through the challenges you will earn points for correct answers. There will be a Leaderboard so you can see how you are tracking throughout the conference. If you gain more than 500 points you will gain an entry into the Prize Wheel which has a range of different prizes from our sponsors. The overall winner of the Leaderboard will be announced in the final session of the conference and will WIN AN IPAD. In the event of a tie, a random drawing will be held to determine a winner.

Mocksey
MOCKSEY is a fun interview training app designed to support teenagers, young adults and applicants entering the job market The app enables them to practise their answers prior to an interview. They get to practise against different interviewer personalities which helps them face real interviews more confidently.

MOCKSEY provides a modern interview training solution delivering tips and coaching, allowing applicants to save and have their video interviews evaluated. This is done by downloading the app and can be practised anywhere.

Applicants have the ability to nominate a coach who can log in and review their interviews providing video feedback on their answers.

Schools can utilise MOCKSEY for NCEA standards with the video based evidence of the interviews saved on file. With many schools signing up now you can help your students by jumping on board for 2024. With only a minimal fee for an entire year of confidence building and helping your students nail that next interview it's an easy answer to all time strapped careers practitioners.
