Welcome to Netball Mainland’s June Newsletter.

Our team has been quite active throughout this past month, and we hope you've had the chance to catch up with us. Don't hesitate to come and say hello—we're eagerly looking forward to the ongoing season of netball ahead. For those seeking to contact our Mainland team, you can access our contact details through this link.

In this edition of the newsletter, we're excited to bring you more Center News from across Mainland, along with insights from the Trident Homes Tactix and SHNL news. Be sure not to miss out on what lies ahead and join us in celebrating our netball community throughout the 2024 season.

We're already in full swing as a team, gearing up to support our Centers through their representative campaigns and various development opportunities. As you'll see below, we had the privilege of supporting ANZ's futureFERNS event alongside some of our beloved Silver Ferns. Providing initiatives to engage with our community not only fosters ongoing participation but also nurtures a deep passion for advancing our sport from grassroots to high performance!

See you next month, Kiana Gallon

Netball King's Birthday honours!!!
It was so amazing to celebrate Netball NZ Centenary on the 21st May, we have been enjoying seeing all the different ways Centres have chosen to celebrate.
Marlborough’s Netball Milestones Celebrated

By the end of this week, we will be able to celebrate and announce the Mainland umpires who have been selected to represent us at the 2024 Netball New Zealand U18 Nationals, hosted in Dunedin.

The beginning of June encompassed Samoa Language week. The theme for 2024 is 'Tautua i le alofa, manuia le lumana’i – Serve in love for a blessed future'. Love is the driving force of service.  No matter what service looks like or who is doing it, service is accomplished through the power of love. There is no denying that the love of our sport, drives the existence of what we do and why we do it - a privilege we all don’t take lightly!  Fa’afetai lava (thank you)

A reminder that we can continue to celebrate Samoan Language amongst yourselves or within your communities.

Here are some easy greetings you can all try!

Talofa lava – hello

Tofa soifua – goodbye

Fa’amolemole – please

Fa’afetai lava – thank you

A big THANK YOU to our funding partners
