The Basics

Two teams of six players compete to push a puck across the pool floor and into the opposing team’s goal using small sticks. Players wear fins, a snorkel, a mask, a protective glove, and a cap for safety. The game is typically played in a pool 25 metres long and about 2 to 3 metres deep.

How It Works

Because players must hold their breath while diving to the bottom, teamwork and timing are crucial. Players rotate between the surface and bottom in shifts, allowing for constant movement and strategy. The puck is made of lead or another heavy material so it stays on the pool floor.
