Mako Tag Club is a kiwi tag sports club based in Paremata, a northern suburb of Porirua, New Zealand.  We are primarily a kids grade kiwi tag club for player from Under 6 to Under 13.  Our goal is to ensure our tamariki love sport while developing core skills.

Mako Tag Club play in the Porirua City Tag, who run the Porirua regional kiwi tag competition.  The PC Tag competition normally runs from late Oct to mid Feb.

Kiwi Tag is a fast-paced game based around rugby league and touch rugby.  The game is suitable for all ages, genders, sizes and skill levels.  Kiwi Tag is a modern game which aims to fulfil the needs of kids, parents and grassroots clubs.  Kiwi Tag is exciting, friendly and free flowing.  Kiwi Tag develops core skills in a safe environment.  Without the contact, kids can gain confidence in carrying the ball in two hands, passing, catching, running, stepping and kicking and most importantly, enjoying playing sport.
