Whangarei Netball Centre

Whangarei Netball Centre is currently recruiting for two roles.

The vision for Whangarei Netball is to create an inclusive, sustainable netball hub which nurtures our people to deliver programmes and events that will grow our potential and provide for netball both now and in the future.  Our goals are to embrace all who want to play so that we have a diverse and inclusive culture, and to open pathways to grow the game and our people in a centre that we can all be proud of.    We aim to achieve this through the strengthening of relationships with our community and our partners in Netball and through the prudent management of the operation.

Kaiwhakahaere Rauemi / Operations Lead

Purpose of Role:  Manage the operations of the netball centre including the arranging of games, management of umpire development lead  and coach development lead, coordination and management of reps and events at the centre. For the full job description click HERE.

Kaihautu / General Manager

Purpose of Role: Develop and implement strategies to achieve the goals of Whangarei Netball and lead our team towards success.  As Kaihautu/General Manager this role will have accountability for the direction and management of the operations of Whangarei Netball with a focus on development of strong relationships with partners including hāpu and iwi. For the full job description click HERE.

Rugby League Northland Women’s Development Officer

The position of Women’s Development Officer for Rugby League Northland is now available. Accountable to the RLN Zone Board and CEO, the women’s development officer will plan, deliver, and implement innovative initiatives that support the overall strategic direction of Rugby League Northland.

The vision of Rugby League Northland is to create opportunities in Northland through Rugby League and our mission is to GROW a bigger and better Rugby League community in Northland.

We are at an exciting time in our organisation with new opportunities for development and pathways in rugby league. We need a leader ready to step into the crucial role of Women’s Development Officer. The ideal candidate will be passionate to grow rugby league experiences and be innovative to strengthen participation capability for schools, colleges and clubs. A key priority will be to strengthen tamariki and rangatahi participation through the delivery of great rugby league experiences via our LTL programmes, as well as increase club capability (via volunteer support) and coach development.  Accompanying that will be an enthusiasm and energy for helping achieve our vision to take our game and people from strength to strength. Rugby League Northland (RLN) is a non-profit organisation that provides rugby league school programmes from grassroots to senior level football throughout the Northland region. Admin Events Manager

Bowls Northland is actively seeking an enthusiastic person for the day-to-day running of the Centre’s office and organising the delivery of events and tournaments.

This role is 35 hours per week, which may include weekends during the season, and is based at the Centre office at Whangarei Bowling Club.
