OTOROHANGA TOUCH MODULE 2018

Competition Rules


The Otorohanga Touch Module is a summer competition run on Fridays at Island Reserve, Orahiri Terrace, Otorohanga. 

REGISTRATION

  •  Teams need to register online via the following link. Click here you will need to add your team members email addresses in order for them to register into your team otherwise take note of the link you are given and let your team members know
  • Each team may register up to a maximum of 20 players but can only 14 fields players per game
  • Each player must complete an official player registration form and MUST ensure the information on record is UP TO DATE as supplied by the club prior to playing in any game. These are the minimum standards needed to satisfy the Clubs association requirements.
  • Any unregistered player involved in any game will result in the offending team being penalised in relation to the game that unregistered player played. Teams that continue to breach this ruling will face further sanctions.

FEES

  • Fees for 2017 season are $60.00 per senior team or $30 per junior team
  • Registration fees must be paid in full by Friday 9th February unless otherwise specified.  Registration will not be complete until payment has been made.
  • NO TEAM will be permitted to play if their team fees remain unpaid after this deadline.


RULES OF THE COMPETITION

  • Standard The Playing Rules of Touch (8th edition) rules apply.
  • Game will be played in a 6 aside format with minimum of 2 females on the field.
  • Children UNDER the age of 13 years may play in the senior competition in place of a female player. Once they turn 13 they will be classified as a male player.


UNIFORM

  • No player will be allowed to play without the appropriate footwear.
  • No player is permitted to wear sunglasses unless they are prescribed. No jewellery is to be worn and nails need to be cut or taped before taking the field.
  • Team shirts/uniforms must be of the same colour with numbers on the back. No two players are to have the same numbers.
  •  Each player must be in an official team uniform by the third week of playing.
  • Players will not be allowed to take the field until these requirements are adhered to.

FORFEITS

  • A team may forfeit without penalty if notice of at least 24 hours is given to management. If a team is to forfeit they may have points deducted. Note: These actions may be waived due to certain circumstances and are assessed on a case by case basis.


Team Obligations

Referees

All teams are required to nominate at least one referee for the season.  If your nominated team referee fails to referee his or her appointed games then the offending team may lose points or the right to contest in any final.  If your team is unable to supply a referee, please liaise with the module coordinator to work on a solution. If there is enough interest I will look into organising a referee course which costs $10 per person.

CODE OF CONDUCT

  •  There will be zero tolerance towards breaches of the Clubs Code of Conduct both on and off the field. This also applies to all official events run by Otorohanga Touch and/or by the Provincial Association and Touch NZ.
  • ANY ACTS OF VIOLENCE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! The offender will be subject to a mandatory expulsion period from the club and any affiliates throughout New Zealand including but not limited to any Provincial or National competitions dependent on the severity of the offence.
  • Any breaches will be dealt with by the relevant officials of the club and by law enforces if necessary.
  • The Otorohanga Touch Code of Conduct will be available from the marshalling area or on request from a club official.
  • This is a drug and alcohol free module, if any player or official is believed to be under the influence, they will be asked to leave the fields. This also includes any spectators/supporters seen consuming alcohol within the clubs vicinity (including the fields and/or on the sidelines)
