Masterton Red Star J.A.B.

Masterton Red Star JAB was formed in 1997 with the merger of the Red Star Rugby Football Club and the Masterton Rugby Club. Both clubs have a long and proud rugby history with Masterton being formed in 1876 and Red Star in 1885.

In 1996 the two senior clubs merged with the JAB clubs merging the following year and in doing so started the new Masterton Red Star Rugby Club or in short the RAMS.

The RAMS JAB currently has 9 teams and approximately 140+ children playing rugby. We are the largest rugby club in the Wairarapa Bush region.

We are very much a family orientated club which places a huge emphasis on good family values and good old fashioned FUN. Which include many things from Player of the week trophies and certificates to giveaway prizes each and every week. Also parent participation is very much encouraged as the club committee and coaches are just that. We cater for all ages from 4 to 13 years of age; with the under 6 and under 8 playing the ever popular Rippa Rugby and the rest playing tackle rugby.
