PURPOSE
To manage and coach the Canterbury United Pride to compete in the 2024 Women’s National League.

The Women's National League runs from September to the end of November. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team of staff to create a high-performance environment in which all individuals can develop. We believe that people show their true values in their actions and therefore we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate.

Head Coaches will be expected to be able to provide services across 5 key areas: Session Planning, Session Delivery, Session Review, Player/Parent Communication & Game Day Management. In addition to coaching the team, there will be a focus on developing female coaches within the region who will be in the pride or pride youth as development coaches.

This position is not an offer of employment. There is reimbursement for a suitably qualified candidate.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Always portray a positive image of Canterbury United and Mainland Football.
  • Creation of a learning environment that places emphasis on growth mindsets & develops further passion for the game in all individuals.
  • Set, monitor and develop high quality standards and team ethic for all players involved
  • Session planning & reviewing of a number of engaging football sessions suitable for players at this pinnacle level
  • Session delivery of a number of engaging football sessions aimed at female players in the performance phase of their development.
  • Provision of a safe learning environment where people feel valued.


OTHER TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate actively with Mainland football Technical Director.
  • Provide honest and constructive assessment and feedback to all players.
  • Maintain accurate planning and reviewing of all sessions and individuals.
  • Maintain regular meetings with coaching team as and when required.
  • Review programs annually in conjunction with Mainland Football Technical Director.
  • Assist, manage and develop coaching team as required.
  • Travel to game days some of which will be in different cities around the country.
