At every session Team Managers will need to tick off attendance.

Extra players can be added to your team during the competition.
The maximum number of players per team is 12.

All team members need to have played a minimum of three games to be able to play in the play-off round.   Playing half a game is considered as having played.

Y5-6 games - a 6-aside competition, with 10 minute halves.
All other grades - a 7-aside competition, with 13 minute halves & a one minute half-time break.

The first round can start at 4pm (younger grades) and begins every half hour after that, progressing through the age grades until the last game at 6.30pm (open grades).
Timing for all games will be controlled by a central hooter system.

Usual Netball NZ rules will apply.

Players must have short nails, no jewellery, piercings or plaster castes allowed. Hair must be tied up.

Mixed teams - no more than three males on the court at any one time. They must be in each third of the court only. eg, one can be playing either GS or GA, one at either GK or GD and another at either C, WA or WD only.

Umpires have the right to warn a player for inappropriate play/verbal abuse - the umpire will record the player's name on the score card. A record will be kept of warnings on the team sheet. A second warning will result in the withdrawal of the player concerned.  If the team accumulates several warnings the manager will be informed, the team may be withdrawn from the competition. No fees will be refunded.  This is at the discretion of the Golden Oldies Summer League Organisers.

There is no injury time; the game will be stopped at the umpire’s discretion to allow time for any injured player to leave the court and a substitute to come on as quickly as possible.

Bibs, balls and umpires will be supplied by Rolleston Netball Golden Oldies.
The minimum uniform requirement is that each team plays in the same coloured tee-shirt/top.

Points will be recorded as follows:

               4 for a win/win by default, 2 for a draw, 1 for a loss within 5 goals or less.
Results will be available at the registration desk each Friday.
The last game of the term will usually be for playoffs which will be followed by a short prize-giving.

The weekly draw will be published on this website.
Defaults will need to be notified by 6pm Thursday, or before if possible.

Please, be considerate of your opposing team and do not email on Friday to default as this is too late to let the other team know.
