ECNC Policy for Match Criteria

Objectives

All players in ECNC are of equal value to our club and deserve fair playing time

Our club is responsible for the development of all our players except those in social and masters grades.

In the round robin games of the Selwyn Competition all players must be on the court for a minimum of 3/4 of the game except for the Senior A team.

Exceptions to this may be when

• A team has 9 or more players
• A player has an illness or injury
• A player is not coping mentally with the circumstances of the game e.g. weather, physicality of opposition
• A player does not wish to play in a position allocated by the coach
• A player has received an official warning from a game official or a suspension from play
• A player requests less court time
• For behavioural reasons determined by the coach- but only in consultation with the president.
• A player has not attended training.
